The role involves overseeing the safe handling and care of customer orders while ensuring strict adherence to Health & Safety policies and company directives. The focus is on optimising the cutting plan to minimise waste, efficiently utilise fabric, and reduce roll ends. The individual will be responsible for motivating and coaching the team to maintain high performance, while also ensuring that fabric stores align with the needs of the cutting teams to maintain smooth workflow. Additionally, the role includes managing the weekly return of fabric to stores for all plans and covering for the Lectra CAD department during holidays and leave. The position emphasises efficiency, safety, and effective leadership in a fabric-focused environment.

What you'll be doing• Safe handling and care of customers orders.
• Ensure that the Company’s Health & Safety Policies are rigorously applied.
• Compliance with the Company’s policies and directives.
• Ensure that the cutting plan is utilized in the most efficient manner to clear down the loads and minimize WT in the
sorting section
• Stay within the 5% extra to lay provision
• Utilize lay efficiencies to get the most out of the fabric
• Utilize fabric and minimize roll ends
• Monitor and lead team performance through motivation and coaching
• Ensure fabric stores follow process in line with the cutting teams needs, so that efficient flow is achieved, also the
return of fabric to the stores must be completed weekly for all plans
• Cover holiday and leave for Lectra CAD department.
The role is for you if...
Lectra CAD/CAM trained and able to troubleshoot any issues that may occur in the cutting/development process.
