We’re looking for a friendly, organized, and motivated individual to join our team in Colchester, based at Lanswood Park. As an Administrator, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our services run smoothly and that we provide outstanding care and support to those who rely on us.

Our Administrators provide support to the healthy family team within The Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service, including communicating with the public, dealing efficiently with correspondence, Regular inputting of client details onto the SystmOne database. Working within a single point of contact team supporting a wider multi-disciplinary service.

Main ResponsibilitiesAs an Administrator, you’ll be a crucial part of our Healthy Family Team within the Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service. You’ll provide high-quality administrative support to help ensure our service users and staff have the best possible experience.

Your responsibilities will include:


Producing reports using SystmOne and completing administrative tasks using Microsoft Office applications.
Flexibly supporting administrative functions across Essex, stepping in as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Keeping accurate electronic records to maintain safe standards, following all relevant procedures and guidance.
Handling sensitive inquiries from clients, staff, and external professionals in a professional and compassionate manner—whether over the phone, by email, or face-to-face.
Processing safeguarding and vulnerable patient reports, ensuring timely and accurate allocation to practitioners.
Managing colleague schedules, including visit allocations and duty rota coverage.
Maintaining clean and accurate data for reporting purposes, ensuring records are up-to-date and duplicate entries are removed.


This role is essential in supporting the wider multi-disciplinary team and ensuring we deliver a seamless service to families and young people.
The Ideal CandidateWe’re looking for someone who is:


Organized and Detail-Oriented: You’ll keep our systems and records accurate and efficient.
Compassionate and Professional: You’ll communicate sensitively with clients, families, and team members, often handling inquiries of a sensitive nature.
IT-Savvy: Confident with systems like Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), and ready to learn others, such as SystmOne.
Team-Oriented and Flexible: Willing to adapt and support different areas as needed.


While experience in a similar role is a bonus, it’s not essential. We’ll provide all the training and support you need to thrive.
