As a Administrator at Merville Barracks, Colchester you will be responsible for the maintenance, administration and distribution in the unit. 16 Air Assault Brigade is one of the busiest Army Brigades, overseeing multiple training and operational lines of activity. What you’ll do:
Responsible for the provision of clerical support to all Officers in the unit, including drafting routine correspondence as necessary
Management of, and collation of returns and statistics including:
Manning trawls (individual and enrolment posts)
Backfilling (operational and routine)
Act as the focal point for Staff Officers during their absence on exercise / Operations.
Response to routine higher Headquarters / unit telephone enquiries
Returns and statistics collated in a timely manner
All telephone queries resolved or passed on
Programme, co-ordinate and arrange meetings and interviews as directed by Staff Officers.
Prepare rooms and facilities for meetings, including provision of necessary stationery, distributing materials and arranging refreshments.
Provide assistance during the meetings as required which may include taking minutes and the clearance of the rooms thereafter.
Notify all relevant attendees of meetings in advance.
Produce, complete, clear and accurate minutes of meeting ready to be reviewed by Staff Officers within three business days of the relevant meeting.

What you bring:
Administrative experience in a busy office environment
Good IT skills – Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work to tight deadlines as well as prioritise, organise and plan
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent; or NVQ Business Administration Level 2
