Location: South East London
Start Date: ASAP (Mid-January Start)
Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch break)
Days: 3 weekdays per week (service can be flexible on the days)
Salary: �28 - �35 per hour via Umbrella (dependent on prior experience)
Role Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Locum Pharmacist to join a private prison service in South East London! This is an ongoing role, and the successful candidate will be working x3 weekdays per week, with flexible scheduling. The role is ideal for pharmacists from hospital or GP surgery backgrounds looking to transition into the prison environment.
You will be working in a dispensary-based setting, with no wings or patient-facing contact. The focus will be on clinical checking, screening prescriptions, and some checking work. You will need to be comfortable with using electronic systems; experience with System 1 would be advantageous but not essential. Prison clearance is also NOT required for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting clinical checks on prescriptions.
* Screening medication orders and dispensing.
* Some checking work within the dispensary environment.
* Ensuring compliance with all prison protocols (electronics must be handed in at the gate).
Requirements:
* GPHC qualification.
* Experience in dispensary settings (hospital or GP surgery background preferred).
* Ability to screen and check prescriptions.
* System 1 experience (desirable but not essential).
* No prior prison clearance required.
* Must be available for a mid-January start.
