Exciting Opportunity: Join Our Finance Team as an Accounts Payable Manager! Are you ready to take on a pivotal role as the Accounts Payable Manager overseeing the Accounts Payable UK & ROI team? In this position, you will lead and develop two Team Leaders and direct reports, ensuring accurate supplier payments and efficient colleague expense processing. Success in this role hinges on collaboration, motivation, and goal orientation, coupled with a keen focus on innovation and improvement. Experience or a solid understanding of electronic data interchange (EDI) or optical character recognition (OCR) is essential. A hands-on approach and practical mindset are key attributes for excelling in this position. Located at Junction 41 in Wakefield, with a flexible, hybrid work model, colleagues are expected to work in the office for a minimum of two to three days per week, with additional attendance as required. Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders: buyers, merchandise planners, suppliers, and the treasury team Drive continuous improvement and streamline processes through automation Strengthen controls for enhanced efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness Resolves queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders Creation and monitoring of creditor reporting, KPI’s and SLA’s Ensures the timely and accurate processing and payment of supplier invoices and staff expenses Builds and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders, with the ability to flex style to suit audience Ensure clear SMART objectives are in place that are part of 121’s and reviews Experience in leading AP teams, especially through periods of significant change Strong IT and analytical skills; ability to interpret and present data Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to flex style to suit audience Demonstrable record of process improvement and development of others Personable, engaging, highly motivated, resilient, organised, and able to manage differing (sometimes competing) priorities
