What is the job role?Tiverton School is a Coventry primary school for pupils with SEND including SLD, ASC, PMLD and associated communication interaction and behaviour challenges is looking to appoint a second AHT to our growing team.
The role will involve leadership of the policy and practice of behaviour strategies across the whole school. You will need an understanding of the complexities of pupils with SEND, communication and sensory processing difficulties. The role involves strategic action planning, training others, monitoring data, analysing patterns, problem solving and evaluating outcomes.
Most of our pupils have communication, language, social interaction and severe learning difficulties associated with the ASC spectrum, so knowledge of this is essential to the role.
Who are we looking for?We need an experienced SEND practitioner who has some experience of middle leadership, curriculum development, evidence-based action planning and implementation strategies.
There will be a 0.8 teaching commitment, which may be flexible, depending upon whole school requirements.
