Work with Flexibility as part of a team, delivering excellent Customer Service.  A positive team player, empathetic and supportive towards others, and able to work autonomously. Has a deep understanding of what quality means, and is passionate about ensuring high standards, by upholding our Pure quality framework. Be able to work under tight deadlines and pressure.  The Role   A Private Ambulance Crew Scheduled days employee, is responsible for collecting the deceased from their place of death or containment and bring them into the Company’s care in a manner which affords the deceased both respect and dignity, in line with the company’s process and procedures and prevailing best practice. Appearance – Be smart and well presented in the provided uniform at all times, ensuring that your vehicle is presented in a similar manner.  Key Responsibilities  Being available and present as directed by the At Need manager or their delegated authority.  Being aware of legal requirements at the point death and the Company’s procedures and processes which would be applicable and communicating any variance to the duty phone if you believe the tasks allocated are non-compliant.  Removing Deceased as instructed from Hospitals, Hospices, Nursing Homes and Private Homes.  Ensuring the verification of the deceased’s identity before conducting the removal.  Ensuring the removal is conducted with the utmost respect and dignity for the deceased and other present, ensuring that the correct equipment is used for the task.  Transporting or the deceased as instructed to Doctors, crematoria or other locations as tasked.  Keeping detailed records of progress of each task and / or stages via the QR codes and recording activity using the Body Tracking Application.  Feeding back to management immediately any observations around changing of hospital timings, access, unordinary requests and 3rd party practices which are likely to cause the company inefficiency or damage.  Booking deceased into the mortuary.  Removing jewellery, medical devices, materials unsuitable for cremation; verifying both visually and via metal detector.  Encoffining the Deceased and identifying as applicable.  Returning ashes as tasked  Being compliant in all tasks with the Company’s processes and procedures.  Keep your allocated vehicle presentable at all times and ensure that faults are reported, and routine maintenance is booked as necessary.
