We have an exciting opportunity for a band 5 Nurse to join our team at St Martin's Hospital, Sulis Ward on a full time basis. 

In this role, you will play a crucial part in the provision of high-quality patient care by assessing care needs, developing, implementing, and evaluating care programs. You will demonstrate the ability to perform all relevant forms of nursing care competently without direct supervision, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Additionally, the role involves active participation in teaching, supervision, and preceptorship/mentorship of learners and other staff and in the absence of a more senior nurse, the post holder will take charge of the ward.

Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Band 5 Nurse you will:


Maintain high standards of patient-focused care
Provide comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, maintaining accurate written records
Communicate effectively with patients and carers
Foster positive relationships among all staff involved in patient care
Flexibility to undertake duties on various wards/departments based on service demands
Contribute to the audit and evaluation of clinical practices, promoting quality care
Contribute to fostering a positive learning environment within the clinical area
