We are looking for a highly motivated audiologist with experience/knowledge of paediatric diagnostic testing for a permanent full-time Band 6 position in a busy but friendly community-based paediatric audiology team. The post involves working alongside existing paediatric audiologists and assistant staff at 3 purpose-built audiology test facilities in the city of Leeds. The post holder will support the service clinically under the supervision of the Audiology Team Manager. Clinically carrying out paediatric diagnostic hearing assessments and with onward referrals to the hospital ENT and audiology services.Service improvement and development are central to the vision for community paediatric audiology service provision. The post holder will support the service the service development work as it moves towards IQUIPS accreditation.The team has monthly team meetings which include clinical and child protection supervision topics that staff are encouraged to contribute to.Clinical duties will include delivering high levels of care to the service’s patients via face-to-face appointments in three soundproof paediatric rooms across the city – St Georges Centre in Middleton Leeds, Armley Moor Health Centre and Chapeltown Health Centre.Diagnostic testing of children aged 0 – 18 years of age using Visual Reinforcement Audiometry, Performance Audiometry, Pure Tone Audiometry, TEAOE testing, Otoscopy, Tympanometry and a variety of speech tests (including Parrot+).Service improvements duties which include SOP writing and implementation for any identified additional service offers. The service currently runs clinics Mon-Wed 8.30am – 4.30pm and Thu-Fri 8.30am – 2.30pm with flexible admin allocated weekly for clinical admin and service development work.Please Review the Job Description and Person Specification Attached for Full Requirements of the Role.
