Chapel Attendant
Full-time, 38.33 hours per week
Location: Oxford Crematorium, Oxfordshire
Salary: £24,316.65 per annum (£12.20 per hour)

Our Chapel Attendant’s are the welcoming presence representing our Crematoriums at our sites across the UK. They provide support during what may be one of life's toughest moments, offering all families a sense of tranquillity and a place to pay their respects in remembering their loved ones.
This meaningful opportunity calls for individuals who can seamlessly assist and coordinate our funeral services within our chapel as well as providing a blend of empathy, resilience, care, and professionalism, embodying the renowned standards that define us!
Here is what a typical day could look like for you:

Setting up the chapel for services, including arranging seating, floral displays, and audiovisual equipment as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the chapel and surrounding areas.
Greeting and assisting families before, during, and after services, providing support and guidance as needed.
Liaising with Funeral Directors and Ministers ensuring specific requests are carried out to meet the family's requirements including consideration of varying religious requirements.
Conduct witnessed interments and scattering of cremated remains.
Whilst the above duties will be a main part of your role, our teams work collaboratively, therefore you will be upskilled in other duties across our Crematorium Teams.
We are an agile team; to meet the needs of our customers requires us to be mobile and flexible, therefore you are likely to be asked to work across different locations in the local area when required based on operational needs.
