About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Oncology Pharmacist for a Band 7/8a position to join an NHS Hospital pharmacy team in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated pharmacist with a strong background in oncology to contribute to a vital area of patient care.
The role will be Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 30-minute break each day. You will play a key role in providing specialist pharmaceutical care to oncology patients, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert advice on the use of chemotherapy and supportive medications.
* Manage the preparation, dispensing, and monitoring of oncology treatments.
* Counsel patients on the safe and effective use of medications.
* Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures, including medication safety and regulatory guidelines.
Requirements:
* Oncology experience is essential.
* Registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Experience working within an oncology setting at a Band 7/8a level.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Hourly Rate:
* �27 - �37 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Working Hours:
* Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM, with a 30-minute break.
