Salary: £13.71 per hour – bank rate, and an additional allowance for unsocial hours.Here at Pure Group, we are proud to be the leading specialists in Direct Cremation, and due to our current growth plans, we are looking to recruit Funeral Operatives to join our supply bank, to support our fantastic Operations Team.As a bank worker you will play a vital role in providing additional support to our team, during periods of annual leave, absence, and increased demand.Due to the nature of the services, we provide, if you commit to joining our bank you could be called day or night if a shift becomes available last minute, however, this would be the exception rather than the norm, as we work to rota so can usually predict need for additional support from our bank workers.As this is a bank worker contract the hours are flexible so you can work to your own commitments, and there is no obligation to accept the work offered, but please note there is also no obligation on us to offer work.The main purpose of the Funeral Operative is collecting the deceased from the place of death or residency and bringing them back to our care at our purpose-built facility in East Kilbride.Whilst experience is not necessary as full training will be provided; it is essential to us that you are a good timekeeper, reliable, of smart appearance, and respectful, and caring of both the deceased and the families we serve.You would also need to hold a valid clean full driving licence and be willing to travel across the whole of mainland Scotland.Due to the physically demanding nature of the role, which includes heavy manual handling and lifting, and heavy machinery use, you will need to ensure that you are physically fit to do the role.This role will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure Scotland.
