* MSc. or higher in Robotics, Autonomous Systems, Computer Science or similar with an emphasis on Autonomous Mobile Robots, Drones, or Self-driving car technology.
* 7+ years of experience in developing robotics and autonomous systems, including perception, mobile navigation and localization algorithms.
* 7+ years of experience developing with C++ and Python, with a track record of development using both languages, and familiarity with design patterns and principles.
* 7+ years of experience with ROS1; experience with ROS2 is a plus, but not required.
* 2+ years of experience in a technical/project leadership role, leading cross-functional teams and aligning team members with objectives; assisting with planning, estimation, schedule coordination, as well as task breakdown, delegation and review.
* 2+ years of experience coaching and mentoring other engineers.
* Experience with Docker image development and container deployment.
* Experience with git-based version control and branch or tag strategies.
* Strong experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
* Knowledge in computer vision, deep learning, and machine learning.
* Understanding of sensor technology for mobile navigation.
* Ability to effectively communicate complex technical topics to a variety of audiences in written and verbal formats.
* Passionate about robotics and not afraid of solving challenging problems under time pressure.
* Experience with working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, XP), and able to plan and estimate work at different levels.
* Problem solver with a hands-on and a “fall in love with the problem not the solution” attitude.
* Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to handle multiple-tasks simultaneously, often under pressure and with tight deadlines.
* Must be self-motivated and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Fluent in English, German is a plus.
