The Facilities Management Service comprises six diverse and multi-disciplined teams that are responsible for the safe operation, management, maintenance and efficiency of the Council’s property assets. The teams provide a range of services and support to the Council’s operational, commercial and schools portfolios ensuring the Councils legislative obligations are fulfilled.

Facilities Management & Site Services Team
Property Information Team is responsible for ensuring all property plans and data are accurate and up to date fulfilling the Council’s obligations for reporting, ensuring Council assets are appropriately insured including the monitoring of Business Rates information.
The function works across the Council with specific detail towards the school portfolio in planning for school place capacity, ensuring compliance with government funding obligations and issuing landlords’ consents.

What is the job role?We are looking for a School Property Information Officer to join our Corporate Property Information Team. In this role you will be developing, managing and maintaining the schools building and land information held in in a number of systems including spreadsheets, databases, mapping systems and CAD.
This role will work closely with colleagues within the Facilities Management Team, Education Service and Finance. You will have good communication skills with an ability to explain complex information to a variety of audiences including school Head Teachers and School Business Managers. The role leads on the management of the schools devolved formula capital process and schools capacity assessments
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Who are we looking for?We are looking for an individual who brings a commitment to inclusivity and understanding of diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
