Our vision is to create an accepting society where autistic people are understood, able to access opportunities and fulfil their potential.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Liaison to join the team at Head Office.Job Title: Community LiaisonReports to: Team Manager, Therapy Community and DiagnosticsHours of Work: 30 hours per week (working pattern to be agreed)Place of work: Head OfficeWe aim to provide services and facilities that encourage autistic children and adults to live a rich and fulfilling life. We achieve this through our specialist co-educational school, residential and supported living, training, education and diagnostic services.This is an exciting time to join the charity as we embark on an ambitious plan to grow our income, increase awareness of the organisation and the reach of our charitable and not for profit services.The Role:As Community Liaison, communicating with multiple services and individuals will be part of your every day, learning at each step about how to make care equitable for autistic people. In addition, you will run drop-in groups across the designated areas and work with schools and their teams allowing for smooth transition between services as required.Manage a caseload of individuals, working with them on an 1-1 basis supporting them to access appropriate services and agencies relevant to their needs within the community.Keep client notes updated in an appropriate, timely and professional manner.Set up and host weekly drop-in groups across North East Essex providing a range of support and signposting when needed.Together with the lead community liaison, be responsible for ensuring that the service continually improves in line with internal recommendations, plans and external regulatory requirements.Develop positive and supportive relationships with all stakeholders and beneficiaries, to enhance the lives of autistic people.Create working relationships with local organisations: attending community events and meetings.Engage with schools and provide school drop-ins within North East Essex to support individuals and increase awareness of autismProvide training to a range of community groups, local business, and health providers.Applications are welcome from applicants who:Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Autism.Significant experience of working with autistic people.Experience of dealing with agencies and community groups.Knowledge of community services across the area.Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle in order to travel across North East Essex.To Apply:If you have a genuine passion for supporting and uplifting others, your outstanding future at Autism Anglia could be moments away.
