Claremont Consulting are partnered with a leading Bespoke Consultancy who specialize in providing scalable and reliable Infrastructures to their customers to ensure they have the right Infrastructure set up from the get go!.
Headquartered in Woerden, they are looking for a Network/Systems Engineer on a permanent basis for a big enterprise project.
Your role:
As a Network/Systems Engineer you are responsible for designing ,configure, manage and maintain network systems and servers for our customers. You work closely with our customers to optimize and improve their IT infrastructure security, using your extensive knowledge and experience in both network and system management.
What does a day look like?
* Morning: Start your day with a stand-up meeting with the customer team to discuss progress of ongoing projects and to resolve any problems identify. You then work on the configuration and optimization of Windows and Linux servers, as well as the implementation of network solutions.
* Afternoon: After lunch you will participate in a design discussion to discuss new aspects plan network and security solutions. You analyze network environments and configures firewalls, routers and switches for optimal performance and security to guarantee.
* Afternoon: You work on solving system and network problems for customers, using your knowledge of tools such as VMware, Hyper-V and Azure. You also provide 2nd and 3rd line support to support teams and assist pre-sales activities.
* End of the day: End your day with a knowledge sharing session where team members best share practices and new insights, and make time to develop your technical skills to further develop using your training budget.
Your profile
● HBO working and thinking level in Computer Science or a comparable education
● Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role
● Certifications regarding Networking, Windows or Linux
● Extensive experience with Windows Servers, VMware, Hyper-V, and Linux
● Strong knowledge of networking technologies such as Cisco, Juniper and Palo Alto
● Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, AWS
● Knowledge and experience of infrastructure as code tools such as Puppet, Ansible and/or
Terraform
● Knowledge and experience with CI/CD Pipelines such as Azure Devops, Gitlab, Jenkins, Github
