Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will:
* Oversee the safe and efficient operation of all on-site equipment.
* Manage the safety and performance of team members under your supervision.
* Train to fulfil the role of Shift Manager while providing support as a Power Plant Operator.
* Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Lead and develop the shift production team, including rostering, performance management, and training.
* Assist in operational troubleshooting, project management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* An engineering degree or DIT Certificate in engineering or relevant work experience.
* Familiarity with power plant operations and safety systems.
* Demonstrated leadership in a production or plant environment.
