We are looking for a Weights and Measure Inspector to join an east London local authority on a temporary basis
Part-time 3 days per week - all on site, including visits
About the role
To be a qualified weights and measures inspector with recent (within the last 2-3 years) experience of undertaking weights and measures inspections both retail and non-retail environments.
Undertake Weights and Measures inspections for partners for five boroughs
Be the lead on legal metrology for the five boroughs and investigate weights and measures complaints and respond to service requests from businesses
Undertake and complete weights and measures inspections in other local authorities as required
Review and sign off laboratory calibrations
Peer audits and address non conformities in the quality policy.
Work with the metrology technician to completed air quality tube work as well as weights and measures work.
