What is the job role?The post holder is integral to delivering and managing effective parking enforcement and car park management operations in Coventry. 

You will report directly to the parking manager and be responsible for the day-to-day management of frontline staff, which is comprised of a team of civil enforcement officers (traffic wardens). You must have strong leadership capability to motivate the team to provide outstanding levels of service on behalf of Coventry City Council. 

You will be responsible for supervising, motivating, and deploying the staff whilst managing and overseeing all aspects of employee and team performance. 

You will have demonstrable experience in the management of parking operations together with a detailed understanding of on-street and off-street parking regulations, policies and procedures.

You will use a range of computerised back office systems to manage the enforcement and parking operations effectively.  

You will liaise and work with multiple internal and external colleagues and stakeholders including members of the public and Elected Members. 

You will be required to work a rotating shift pattern along with other teams to cover 7 days a week and 364 days a year. You will be paid an allowance in addition to your basic pay for this.  
Who are we looking for?We are looking to recruit a Parking Supervisor to join the Parking Services management team. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone who can make a positive difference to the future success of the service.  

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in the management of parking operations or a similar front-line service, together with an understanding of on-street and off-street parking regulations, policies and procedures. 

You must be a confident, hard-working, motivated, responsible, resourceful, and flexible person with a proven track record of delivering high-quality front-line services, together with excellent communication skills, people management and customer service.
