Deputy Manager - Southampton£29,232 per annum, 40 hours per weekWe are currently looking for an experienced Deputy Manager, who will be responsible for the day to day delivery of Food and  Drink Services, the services are predominantly in the following areas namely, Olive tree bar and restaurant, Spitfire Lounge and Olive Branch Bar, Olive Pod.  In addition to self performed elements we employ a variety of third-party contractors to deliver the remainder of the services within our portfolio. In addition, he will mirror the responsibilities and accountabilities of the Client for all staff engaged under the contract.  Key Responsibilities: Understand and deliver all contractual termsCommunicate any on site client changes to line manager.  Communicate regularly with client (as agreed)Communicate regularly with sub-contractors (as agreed)Promote the accommodation and amenity units and act as a Compass Advocate at all timeEnsure all services are delivered to the correct standard To always look out for opportunities to develop our serviceAs part of our commitment for continuous improvement and innovation, all colleagues are encouraged to seek ways to improve work activities and promote efficiencyDeveloping contract specifications and SLA’s to ensure an optimum service is being deliveredTo report health and safety issues to your line manager, including all accidents and near missesTo promote good safety habits and safe systems of workDeliver training to operate machinery as shown and ensuring that the equipment is used safely and in accordance with current regulations and company policies    To demonstrate facilities contract staff are suitably qualified and experiencedEnsuring the availability of the right number of trained staff at the right time.Identification and prediction of resource shortfalls and excesses and recommendations.Succession management, long and short terms.Staff reporting, appraisals team brief, standards and expectations.Motivation and cross team co-operationDetails of current spend.Ensuring value for money for all areas of expenditure.Maintenance of auditable recordsEssential: This is a varied role, demanding excellent customer facing, people and operational management skillsAttention to detail and accuracyTeam management experience, including performance management and development and coaching  and the monitoring of service contracts.You must be smart, polite and well presented at all timesExcellent customer service skillsStrong Team playerExperience working within a corporate Health & Safety cultureExperience with Financial ControlsFM experience is essentialDriving licence essential Desirable: Previous experience in AviationMaintenance softwareKnowledge of transport management systemsExperience in multi sites with CompassAbout UsPart of Compass Group UK&I, ESS is the Defence, Government, and Energy services sector of Compass Group UK & Ireland.
