Are you skilled in electrical systems and passionate about ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment?We are looking for a dedicatedMaintenance Electrician to join our team and help maintain the integrity of our facility.Your main duties -Electrical System Maintenance:Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance on all electrical systems within the establishment, provided you have the necessary training.Record Keeping:Maintain accurate records of all preventative maintenance and repair work performed. Report in detail any substandard or defective equipment.Scheduled Maintenance:Perform scheduled maintenance service on electrical systems and fixtures to ensure optimal functionality and safety.Trade Skills Application:Use appropriate trade skills for the installation, testing, examination, and maintenance works within the prison.Team Support:Assist and support both the Maintenance Team Leader and allied trades in their tasks.HMP & YOI Bronzefield is the largest women’s prison in Europe which accommodates a diverse and complex population of women from restricted Status women who require the highest levels of security, women on remand (Who are often experiencing custody for the first time), as well as supporting women with chronic mental health conditions.Join Sodexo and be part of something greater. You belong in a team where you can act with purpose and thrive in your own way.For more information on Sodexo Careers please visitSodexo CareersMain ResponsibilitiesEnsure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes of practice.Hold relevant training records of required competencies • Work in accordance to Sodexo’s policies and procedures.Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance to all electrical systems where suitably trained within the establishment. Maintain accurate records of all preventative maintenance and repair work carried out and report in detail any substandard or defective equipment. Accurate records of maintenance and repair work will be maintained.All work will be completed to relevant trade standards (18th Edition).Perform scheduled maintenance service on electrical systems and fixtures.Carry out, out of hours call out procedures on an “On Call” rota system and take appropriate action.Working 5 days in 7 (including occasional weekends).Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance to all electrical systems where suitably trained within the establishment.Perform scheduled maintenance service on electrical systems and fixtures.Escort specialist contractors and work beside them as required.Support the Health and Safety culture.Please see attached job description for further information regarding the role requirements.The Ideal CandidateEssentialDemonstrable knowledge and experience of fault finding, installation and repairs.Knowledge of commercial electrical repairs on HVAC, AHU, controls and BMS systems an advantage.Previous experience of testing, inspection and PAT testing.Proven experience of working with a Health and Safety culture.Ability to work on own initiative.Demonstrable experience of working with schedules and deadlines ▪ Qualified to 18th Edition (BS 7671).Package Description£38,478.00 per annum +£3,729.24 LW per annum.Working Hours37.50 hours (Regular Monday – Friday pattern).Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it’s a chance to be part of something greater.You’ll belong in a company and team that values you for you; you’ll act with purpose and have an impact through your everyday actions; and you’ll be able to thrive in your own way.
