We are currently recruiting for a Grade 4 Network Planner to join us at our Hinckley depot. Our G4 Planners design, quote and deliver new supplies for 1–4 domestic properties, one small commercial connection along with supply alterations and augmentations, whilst keeping the customer informed at every step along the way. As you can imagine, the pace is fast, and if you join us, our customers will trust you to understand what they want and provide them with excellent customer service.

To apply you’ll need English and Maths GCSE at Grade C/Level 4 minimum OR Functional Skills Level 2 or above. We’ll need to see evidence of your qualifications.

Main ResponsibilitiesAfter some local training, you’ll be hands-on, responsible for project design, costing and delivery of new or altered electricity connections. You will also:


Prepare plans and work packs for delivery of new service schemes, alterations and small capital projects
Issue instructions to the wayleaves team as required
Lead and coordinate site activities
Communicate with customers and provide 1st class customer service
Resolve complaints
Consider site safety and assess, remove or avoid site risks

The Ideal CandidateWe need you to understand our customers and their needs; strong communication skills are key, so you can solve their problem and explain issues simply and clearly. As you’ll be in control of your diary, we’ll need you to be resilient, organised and able to prioritise your workload. Team players thrive in this role, and experience using iPads and computers is a must. You will need to be mobile throughout the area as you may be required to undertake standby duties.

You may not possess all the skills required to carry out the role at present but you will have the confidence and ability to reach the necessary standards with appropriate training. 

If not already attained you will be required to undertake a Level 2 City & Guilds 2339 qualification and complete TAR, which includes daily diary completion and a number of tasks and reports as required.

Operationally we require you to live within approximately 30 minutes of the depot you are applying for. 

A full valid driving licence is required for this role.
