Exciting new entrant opportunities have arisen within SE Trains, we are currently looking for multiple candidates to join our established and ever growing engineering team in Gillingham. 

You will be responsible for carrying out routine repairs, examination work and first level fault finding as directed by the Team Leader. You will also get the chance to work on our newest/latest fleet of trains that SE has to offer.

Main ResponsibilitiesAs an SE1, you will be responsible for primary defect repairs to the in service units, including defect troubleshooting, defect diagnosis  and defect rectification. You will also get the chance to work on our newest/latest fleet of trains that Southeastern has to offer. 

You will carry out all engineering activities, defect rectification, modifications, and time based maintenance packages and repair. At Southeastern we are dedicated to providing our customers with a reliable transport structure, striving to complete tasks and work with colleagues effectively to achieve the required standards and specifications.

 


The Ideal CandidateTo be considered for the role we recommend that you demonstrate the below in your application;


Experience skilled mechanical / electrical work.
Practical Aptitude.
Able to pass Personal Track Safety course or Depot Track Safety course.
Ability to read and follow schematics and diagrams.
Basic knowledge of IT systems and computer skills.
Possess a full Drivers Licence.
