We have an exciting new opportunity for a Azure DevOps Engineer who will play a key role in the delivery of new software, enhancing automated development, testing and delivery processes. The main purpose of this role is to automate and speed up development, testing and deployment processes and to accelerate Speedy’s digital growth in line with our Velocity strategy.

 

You will be working across three cross functional agile development teams and must be pro-active at improving infrastructure, tooling, and deployment processes to accelerate development practices. A good DevOps engineer will be motivated to help others do their job better and to continuously improve development, testing and deployment processes.

 

The principal objectives of the role are:


To accelerate the delivery time of software through development, testing and deployment
To improve the performance of our in-house developed software systems.
To improve security of our environments and software.
To migrate from legacy infrastructure and keep systems and software up-to-date.


 

The duties and responsibilities of the role are:


Automate build and release pipelines.
Set up development tooling and infrastructure.
Work with ops and third parties as required.
Keep dependent software packages up to date.
Setting up automated testing frameworks for the test team.
Work with DBAs and Ops to migrate servers.
Work with developers to identify necessary Azure resources and automate their provisioning.
Document automation processes.
Work with development team and key stake holders to create plan for monitoring Azure resources.
Work closely with key stakeholders to capture, analyze, and derive DevOps requirements.
Responsible for database migrations and maintenance

Windows hosting setup
IIS
Azure DevOps
Deployment/release pipeline automation
Peer code reviews

Desirable


Software security experience
IIS performance tuning
SQL server
Knowledge of automated testing (NUnit / xUnit / Specflow / Selenium)
Microsoft Certification
