The Children and Family Support Service works with families to improve outcomes for children ensuring all children are safe, achieve their best in education, are ready for work and have skills for life, grow up healthy and have improved life chances.

What will you be doing?As part of our Strengthening Families Teams, you will work with families and partners to provide effective help as early as possible. 

You will use evidenced based interventions to support families in their homes to improve parenting skills, set boundaries and support each other, as well as running activities within Children’s Centres such as stay and play sessions and parenting groups.

You will attend planning reviews, meetings and visits with colleagues and relevant professional staff as necessary in order to assist the analysis of requirements and to plan appropriate care programmes for service users
About you
You are an enthusiastic, self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
You have an NVQ 2 or higher-level qualification in a field related to working with Children and Families
You have experience of working with Children, Young People and Families who have support needs in home or community-based environments
You are able to work a flexible week with Children, Young People and their Families to identify and support their complex needs. This may include evening, weekend working and bank holidays
