HMP & YOI Bronzefield is the largest women’s prison in Europe which accommodates a diverse and complex population of women from Restricted Status women who require the highest levels of security, to women on remand (who are often experiencing custody for the first time). We are seeking an experienced Careers, Information and Guidance advisor to help positively shape the journey of our women whilst in custody.You will conduct interviews on arrival to assess everyone’s needs. You will formulate a personal development pathway and support them through this for their first 12 months with regular check ins.Working closely with the House Blocks, Induction, Employment, Education and Reducing Reoffending you will help to re-build prisoners’ self-confidence and pave a clear path back into sustainable and meaningful employment upon release. There will be an opportunity for the successful candidate to help guide and shape the future induction programme for the women at Bronzefield.We have a very diverse population at Bronzefield and many the woman that come to us have additional learning needs so an understanding of neurodiversity is desirable.We are ideally looking for someone with a level 4 in Career, Advice and Guidance, however we would consider supporting someone with a level 3 to gain their level 4 qualification.For full details please see the attached job description Package description £32,107.89 per annum (£28,378.65 plus £3,729.24 London Weighting).
