adi Facilities Engineering Project Manager

Please note this role is a 12 Month Contract where you may be required to occasionally travel to project sites and meetings.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Engineering Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing a variety of engineering projects related to facilities engineering, maintenance, and improvements. This role requires strong leadership, organisational, and technical skills to ensure the successful completion of projects within budget and on schedule.

Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:

* Project Management: Lead and manage all aspects of facilities engineering projects from initiation to completion, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
* Engineering Expertise: Provide technical expertise and guidance in areas such as HVAC systems, electrical and mechanical systems, fire protection, and general site maintenance to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
* Contract Management: Oversee the selection, negotiation, and management of contracts with clients, contractors, and suppliers for equipment, materials, and services required for project execution.
* Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success and minimise disruptions to facility operations.
* Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that work meets established standards and specifications.
* Communication: Effectively communicate project status, updates, and issues to clients, including senior management and project teams
* Budget Control: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and provide regular financial reports to ensure projects are completed within approved budget constraints.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all projects adhere to relevant safety, environmental, and building code regulations, obtaining necessary permits and approvals as required.
* Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment to achieve project goals.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.

About you

We would like to hear from you if you have:

* Recognised engineering qualifications.
* Proven experience in facilities engineering project management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
* Strong knowledge of engineering principles and building systems
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to effectively prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
